Events
Our church offers many opportunities for involvement of all ages. There are a number of regular events that happen yearly and others that are scheduled for one time only.
The following is a summary of just a few.
Be sure to look throughout our site for many fellowship opportunities.

Fall Fun
In September, kick off the school year with a pancake breakfast the Sunday after Labor Day.

Our playground is transformed into a Pumpkin Patch in October! This a Mission fundraiser in conjunction with the Navajo Indians. Please see the missions tab for more details.

Christmas Traditions
St. Lucia Festival – Members of Swedish heritage began this festival as a way to help introduce their children to the customs of their heritage. It has continued for years. It is held in the evening in early December.
Children’s Christmas Pageant – Usually held during worship on the 4th Sunday of Advent (the Sunday prior to Christmas). Children, youth and our adult choir help us remember the “reason for the season.”
Christmas Eve services – traditionally a 5 p.m. service that is for all ages and an 11 p.m. communion service, both ending with candlelight and the singing of Silent Night.
Family Fun
Our family fun committee plans interesting outings and activities approximately once per month suitable for all ages. Such activities have included: apple picking, board games, hikes, eagle watch, outings to the CT Tigers, a play at the Bushnell, ice cream social, pumpkin carving and lots more!
Thanksgiving Dinner
The Sunday before Thanksgiving at 5 p.m. everyone is invited to bring a dish that for them “it wouldn’t be thanksgiving without.” Turkeys are provided. This began years ago when someone mentioned that not everyone had family that gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving, but we do have a church family! A town ecumenical Thanksgiving service follows at 7 p.m.
